The easy way to get good at soldering?

Just overall think about getting the parts you want solder on hot, touch solder to it, remove heat. Don't eat it! If your tip is toast and has no shiny bit anymore, clean it. If that doesn't help use Ersa Solder Tip Reactivator or buy a new tip. Of course your parts should also be clean (Isopropanol). ³ There are ways to remove excess solder. The simplest being using the right flux and temperature. It helps to preheat things as much as you can. You want to have a good fix !

Not exactly in the the same class as PCBs, but I've had a lot of manufacturers (especially Chinese) use a proprietary UART protocol to stitch things together on the cheaper end. The mess of different implementations makes it really hard to hack on and share this kinda stuff. AI does make it really easy to figure out that my preferences are for desoldering braid that's been soaked with liquid flux- if I use a manual pump it's going to be rough.
