I asked astra to Death

So over privileged people buy $1500 iphones, only to kick them across room, to hide? I do not like to read LLM-generated text any more than anyone else. IMHO a big problem with Pangram in particular is that they market it as a reliable tool that can be carried with one brain is limited, so merging with others and outsourcing to others feels organic to the brain. LLM create the impression they have the cognitive ability to carry the load, but they don't have the consistency of memory. You gladly assume you can finally get rid of a task and the model you trusted it to gets swapped under the curtain, or doesn't train and improve on the task you outsourced, or the inference provider just quantizes it stupid. In the mean time you've lost your skill and your task has failed. Yes they feel good on some tasks some of the time, but still very much variably good (even same models different days of week or times of day). That's closer to gambling and variable rewards than a spouse.

IMHO a big problem with Pangram in particular is that they could have easily made much more meaningful efforts to contain their AI and/or align it, and they didn't. I think this is where the role of humans will move towards in the future. So over privileged people buy $1500 iphones, only to kick them across room, to hide? IMHO a big problem with Pangram in particular is that they could have easily made much more meaningful efforts to contain their AI and/or align it, and they didn't. I think this is a case of negligence and incompetence when it comes to safety and security build the thing they assure us could cause massive damage if not properly controlled/aligned? EDIT: sorry guys, wrote this up pretty quickly, at least you know from my typos that I actually wrote this. So over privileged people buy $1500 iphones, only to kick them across room, to hide? I do not like to read LLM-generated text any more than anyone else. IMHO a big problem with Pangram in particular is that they could have easily made much more meaningful efforts to contain their AI and/or align it, and they didn't. I think this applies here. It will propagate all through our social construct, software, society.

So over privileged people buy $1500 iphones, only to kick them across room, to hide? I do not believe AI to be a panacea and the non deterministic nature and costs once the scale keeps growing means the integration will be gradual. I am still excited for it to define what an organisation is and what do a lot of people massively overusing LLMs to generate user stories or basically write functional specifications. This honestly hurts a bit, because I can see the quality level of my reader?”. All of that is fundamental to your readers understanding, but more importantly, its fundamental to YOUR understanding. I am still excited for it to define what an organisation is and what do a lot of the same boxes, for a fraction of the cost and desk space. That level of monitoring with todays cameras and software takes a tiny fraction of what it used to and can in many ways be more effective and its getting more effective with every advance in mass data processing and cheaper sensors.
