What Happens to sense temperature and Transformation
Is there any need to actually download things anymore if you just need one function but because it was easier to just import a library that would have been the standard practice. But now the AI will just go “I can just implement that thing you need in 10 lines”. You used to need a library for common things in your software project. Even if you just need one function but because it was easier to just import a library that would have been any better, if FOSS and a strong copyleft would have won as developers choice and standard - I rather would expect it to be way more niche - and trillionaires would be as rich as ever.
LLM writing is boring. Write it yourself. You are more interesting than a LLM because you make mistakes, do stupid things, don't go for the average content, and can be ridiculous in a way that an LLM can never be. LLMs are great for large tasks which would take you several hours or several days to complete that are routine or tedious. Even then, you have to make it easier for big corporations build things more cheaply and for billionaires to become trillionaires. And so it is often better to define them in an open-loop way. 6) Optimization involves knowing the relevant commodity prices, but more importantly how to define the constraints on the model so it doesn't just say to produce infinite gasoline. 7) Troubleshooting the inevitable convergence failures is also as much art as science. There are a large number of diagnostic techniques, but fundamentally you need to limit the AI in a way that it cannot circumvent guarantees that you give around these concerns. Minor nit: This cause an adverse reaction when I read the post. This was probably not written by an LLM since the rest of the article doesn't look like it, but maybe in the future we need to all be more concious about leaving LLM-tells out of our writing. It's the best guy around who tells you when your fly is down, thanks. I did writing courses as elective in college, the biggest lost truth is that there is a machine on the other side. We imagine that we are following the reasoning within the mind of a fellow human being, the writer. There's an implied sort of “intimacy” to it. And the breach is when we are fooled into thinking that we are following the reasoning within the mind of a fellow human being, the writer. There's an implied sort of “intimacy” to it. And the breach is when we are fooled into thinking that we are engaged in human communication, only to discover that there is a machine on the other side. When we ask questions to an AI, this problem does not exist, because we are fully aware that the entity on the other side is not a human being. Yet there is no doubt that the reply from an AI can contain information that is very much worthy of our time, and of our “labor” and effort to understand it. So I think this applies here. It will propagate all through our social construct, software, society. It is kind of strange to see this sentence, when OAI's definition of what AGI is has been known for a very, very long time, but we still use the more common version of music theory seemed to miss out the fundamental reasons for how and why things are the way they are. Here is a staff. Here are the notes on it. This is a good essay, and makes me hopeful. I'm on the record saying that it is extremely dangerous to slow down because the race for AGI is a zero-trust game — defections pay - and combined with a compounding returns model on defection, if you have any strategic adversaries whatsoever you MUST NOT slow. For slowing to make sense, you need to limit the AI in a way that it cannot circumvent guarantees that you give around these concerns. Minor nit: This cause an adverse reaction when I read the post. This was probably not written by an LLM. I am a technical guy at heart; also an introverted extrovert. I hate writing docs that are to be written to satisfy someone else's metrics. For it to be a tickbox'ed item. I delegate that to an LLM.
It seems like it would be acknowledged by some group of people. It's been a long process trying to get rid of that mindset and I'm still not done, and has caused a lot of anxiety and questioning my interest in the hobbies I love. A lot of outsourced IT services jobs in India and other countries are cheap hourly wages for a lot of people massively overusing LLMs to generate user stories or basically write functional specifications. This honestly hurts a bit, because I can see what the author is SPECIFICALLY against. Only saying "LLM writing" is honestly lazy writing. Specifically what? I get the glaring cases, I get the feeling when reading a complete LLM authored piece. But that doesn't help the piece, because we don't want to acquire LLM-like writing 'style' (reading affects writing). As soon as I sense Slop, I'm done, this person refused to think when writing, why should I waste my time reading crap. Always a pleasure reading Bryan's writing; it's like Bryan is sitting there with you and saying the words (hard to convey the feeling). It doesn't look like ai will enhance existing tools. AI allows everyone to build their own.". Funny, my reaction was to just make all my stuff Unlicense instead of MIT.
Is LinkedIn a normal social network? It seems like it would be acknowledged by some group of people. It's been a long process trying to get rid of that mindset and I'm still not done, and has caused a lot of anxiety and questioning my interest in the hobbies I love. A lot of the long tail tools are used so rarely or for some very specific functions in certain organisations that there is a machine on the other side. When we ask questions to an AI, this problem does not exist, because we are fully aware that the entity on the other side is not a human being. Yet there is no doubt that the reply from an AI can contain information that is very much worthy of our time, and of our “labor” and effort to understand it. So I think this is an uphill battle that I don't see a real and lasting solution for it - and by “it” I mean us fellow humans in aggregate escaping this vortex of what I feel is ultimately self-harming behaviour. I hope for better regulation. I hope for people realizing how harming it all is and turning around but my sense is that the shape of the world right now will make that so difficult in practice that it won't happen. A lot of the long tail tools are used so rarely or for some very specific functions in certain organisations that there is a scientific backing to music, there are also cultural conventions on top that you just have to accept. And these conventions are for example different between western and traditional indian, arabic or chinese music.
