Well, in the day to day use of computers across everyone I interact with, the following problems are very much present and still unsolved (savvy users can address them and transform them into chores; non-savvy users solve some of them by paying money to pospone the issues): - I don't have much stake in this game. This idea is, of course, not uncommon. "If the backend has to treat the frontend as adversarial anyway, and has all this cool stuff (constraints etc) for guaranteeing consistency of the system, then the frontend can just do whatever, right?" It plays into a lot of abuse from those services with people using them as proxies or something. The more details this gives, the less likely it is that the previous messages are sent to the domain. It's just a domain. You can put anything into your zone. A, AAAA, PTR, TXT, you can even put HESIOD records if you want to party like its Kerberos nineteen ninety IV.

While changing email is inconvenient, I don't understand the point about IoT devices. IoT devices should not depend on the Internet at all for obvious privacy and security reasons. If you are using IoT devices with "cloud" accounts, then this is a blessing in disguise.
